OUR PROGRAMS
OUR PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO WORK.
We utilize an evidence-based curriculum to engage and challenge teens, helping them break the cycle of their destructive choices. Once they understand themselves, they can unleash their potential by passionately seeking and pursuing their future success. This will drive them toward a purpose for life that is worthy of modifying their behavior. Our programs provide critical skills and positive support systems to improve lives and transform futures.
TRAIN
verb -to teach a particular skill or type of behavior through practice and instruction over a period of time.
We encourage teens to find their potential in life, uncovering their passion and purpose. This assists them in learning to manage their behavior and gain the skills necessary to build a roadmap to a successful future.
Research shows that youth who have “…participated in some sort of job training, job search, or school-to-work program during their high school years are less likely to experience disconnection than youth who did not...” (Child Trends Research Brief, 2009).
Success at Work
Since 2015, we have reached hundreds of troubled teens and have seen lives transformed and youth-focused on success for their future. During our 24 sessions of training, we establish rapport and introduce them to business entities like the Pittsburgh Pirates, Dolphin Aviation, Victor Young's, Manatee County Government, SPARK Growth, Bayside Community Church, Goodwill, and many more. They have hands-on interaction with these influential leaders and see that they belong to a community that cares about their future.
Our Training Goals
We seek to empower at-risk teens to redirect their behavior towards a positive future by gaining personal insight and job readiness skills needed to be successful in the workplace. They will find their passion when they understand their likes, abilities, and uniqueness. Once they understand themselves, they can unleash that potential by passionately seeking and pursuing their future success. This will drive them toward a purpose for life that is worthy of modifying their own behavior.
Empowering youth with a passion, and purpose is a strategic move in breaking them free. Where most programs in juvenile justice measure themselves in failure rate (recidivism), we measure ours in success – achieving an 83% success rate.
Building Real-World Skills
Using a compelling curriculum and effective relation-building skills, our teams are specifically able to captivate a teen’s attention and empower them to seek alternative choices that lead to a successful future.
We run 8 programs in 4 different juvenile justice facilities:
- Manatee Regional Detention Center
- Manatee County Jail
- Sarasota County Jail
- Wimauma YES Program Facility
INSPIRE
verb - to fill someone with the urge or ability to do or feel something special or creative.
We reach over 1,500 youth each year by meeting at-risk teens where they are – detention centers, jails, and prisons. We build lasting connections with them and offer hope, support, and guidance. Our captivating speakers excel in building rapport with these youth and are able to encourage change. By networking with volunteers from the community and area churches, youth who are incarcerated can be provided with church services and dynamic messages of faith and hope.
MENTOR
verb - an experienced and trusted advisor who trains and counsels others.
The Replay Mentor Team guides at-risk teens in discovering their potential, passion, and purpose by recruiting and training effective mentors to impact these lives.
People Who Make A Difference
Our mentoring program uses vetted adult volunteers to commit to supporting, guiding, and being a friend to a young person for at least one year. Each coach/mentor is encouraged to help youth develop and reach positive academic, career, and personal goals.
By connecting one-on-one with our youth and building positive role models for their lives, great mentors can encourage and empower at-risk youth to navigate their turbulent lives and seek a brighter future.
EMPOWER
verb - to make someone stronger and more confident, especially in controlling their life and claiming their rights.
Youth need an environment that is a source of encouragement and empowerment to be all that youth can be. However, there are many youth who grow up in homes where they face trauma, fatherlessness and abandonment. They carry that with them wherever they go. To many of our youth, the lack of a father figure looms large and mom's strength grows weak. The schools lack the resources to do it all, so many are lost through the cracks. It is for these youth alternative methods of empowerment are needed.
We believe in an alternative to traditional education, which is why we have been working with the school district on a solution for an accelerated learning high school in Manatee county. Youth will be given the ability to work at their own pace to catch-up and move forward. This school has been approved by the school board and will begin in the fall of 2024.
Another empowerment alternative is through trades training. Many of our youth are not interested or able to achieve a college degree and because of their interests and inclinations would excel in the trades vocation. We are working with employers and the school district to allow our students the empowerment opportunity of a vocational education that can be done simultaneous with their schoolwork.
One future goal is to establish a home for youth to find encouragement, love and empowerment. This will be a place of transformation for at-risk teens and former juvenile offenders under a highly structured goal-oriented approach. Helping youth upon their release from incarceration by providing a safe, transitional home to live in, where love and discipline are intertwined. Focus areas are centered on determination, academic and physical discipline, enhancing leadership development, and spiritual discipleship.
Diversity. Inclusion. Equity. and Access.
Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, and Access are critical components of Replay Outreach’s programs. Our anti-discrimination policy ensures services and assistance to any teen identified as at risk in Manatee and Sarasota counties. Our faith-based approach ensures that it is done with, compassion, grace, truth, and love.
